#923 (Display desktop notifications even when the browser is minimized)

State: Ready (last update 2019-04-25 17:00:28.979111+00:00)

The scenario is this: social agents are sometimes working in their office alone. They have their browser open in Lino, but that window is minimized because they are writing e.g. some document. At that time it can happen that a client arrives at the reception and asks for a consultation with that social agent. Currently the reception clerk must phone to the social agent to tell him that a client is waiting. We have the autorefresh feature, but that causes a lot of network traffic which might be avoided if we had live notifications. This feature would obsolete #837. It ticket is basically done (works on a development server), but cannot yet deploy because of #1331.

Marked as Ready because it works now on two production sites, and the documentation has been tested as well. (1 year, 11 months ago by Luc Saffre)

Hamza, I suggest that this will become your next big ticket after #37. Contact me when you have some space in your brain for it. (2 years, 6 months ago by Luc Saffre)
Do we accecpt #923? We might refuse it with the explanation that we are not going to write a better Facebook. And if we accept it, what would this mean?  I see at least two new things to learn before we can evaluate how much work it would be: (2 years, 6 months ago by Luc Saffre)
