#1626 (Reorganizing tested docs and demo projects)

State: Sleeping (last update 2017-04-17 06:18:25+00:00)

Reopened and then put to sleep because Voga and Welfare aren't merged yet. But this is not urgent. (1 year, 6 months ago by Luc Saffre)
My biggest concern is that book will become even bigger and contain very application-specific docs. For example at docs/specs/tickets.rst (which is already now in the book). The tickets plugin is used only by Lino Noi, so one might wonder why the Lino Book contains such information. My current answer is that the tickets plugin *might* be used by other applications as well. Actually it is being used in another application, namely presto. Though presto is not yet used in the real world. (...) (1 year, 6 months ago by Luc Saffre)
I don't think that this will make things harder to keep in sync. Already now we must run the test suites of all projects after a change in lino or xl.  Keeping repos in sync on Travis should be automatic if we commit book always in last place. When Travis sees a commit in book, then it will always take the newest master for all projects defined in requirements.txt of book. (...) (1 year, 6 months ago by Luc Saffre)
Interesting changes are afoot. Had to read the blog-post a few times. (...) (1 year, 6 months ago by Tonis Piip)
Note that lino_noi.projects.care and lino_noi.projects.vilma are currently not used and not being tested (both real-world projects now use the original variant of Lino Noi), so you can leave these in the noi repo. Just move team and bs3 and public from lino_noi.projects to lino_book.projects, and any file in docs/specs that uses one of these. Then get "inv prep test bd" to run on both book and noi.
